I left some belongings at someones house who will not let me get them back...can i take legal action?

i have legal documents left there, social security cards, birth certificates, etc. i also have brand new baby stuff, stroller, pack n play, clothes, blankets, pillows....everything! if i dont get this stuff back what kind of legal action can i take?
