Which kind of double stroller is best for two toddlers?
If you are doing a lot of walking, which if you don't have a car and live in the city I assume you are, tandems are very hard to maneuver and are very bulky. It's hard to turn them down isles and heavier so your pushing a ton of weight on top of the weight of the babies. I bought a tandem when I was still pregnant with my twins and it was used one time before I bought two umbrella strollers and an adapter for 5 dollars at a yard sale. I paid $200.00 for the tandem and 5 for the umbrella, a little bitter about that, but the umbrella was much better. For the twins first birthday my grandma bought me a Jeep side by side, because she just didn't think the one I had was safe, anyway I really like it. Very light weight very easy to get the twins in an out. The only downfall is that it doesn't have an area where you can put drinks or carry bags. I have to put my purse over one handle and a mesh bags for things I buy on the other. I think my grandparents paid around 90 for it.
